F1 M1980, Urban - Ventile® in Baltic
Mobilized's F1 M1980, Urban is a thoroughly updated interpretation of the iconic French Army F1 Model 1980 battle dress jacket.
Our F1 M1980, Urban is a versatile, transitional season jacket. Ventile® provides a light weight yet very durable and breathable as well as a wind and water resistant alternative to synthetic fabrics. It is unlined for optimal range of motion and to allow the wearer to add layers as the temperature drops.
The Ventile® shell is a moody grey-blue evocative of the color of the sea in the Stockholm archipeligo on an overcast morning in February. We're calling it Baltic.
Each element of trim, from the buttons to the thread, has been thoughtfully selected with an eye to simplicity of function and understatement in keeping with our design ethos: stand out without standing out.
Handmade by a small team of highly skilled seamstresses, each jacket requires four hours of painstaking work to complete. The result is a clean finish both inside and out.

Ventile® is 100% cotton, extremely durable and offers many years of protection and comfort.
Caring for Ventile® is straight forward. We recommend hand washing in Granger's Performance Cleaner for outdoor clothing, using the following procedure :
- Gently brush or sponge off any dirt or grit.
- Button the jacket.
- Turn the jacket inside out.
- Hand wash in Granger's Performance Cleaner.
- Ensure all residue soap is removed from the jacket, re-rinse if necessary.
- Re-shape the jacket on a hanger and allow to dry naturally avoiding direct sunlight.
- Iron carefully on a warm setting – this reactivates the DWR treatment.
Reproofing: Your Ventile® jacket may eventually require a reproof, we recommend using Granger's XT Proofer.
Dry-cleaning: Professional dry-cleaning in: perchloroethylene, hydrocarbons. Mild cleaning process with stringent limitation of added humidity and/or mechanical action and/or temperature. Commercial stain removers on a solvent base may be used with some restrictions. A trail on a concealed part of the article is advisable beforehand.
